Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning
-
The endowment that provides the Taubman scholarships was created in 1999 with the transformative naming gift from benefactor and namesake, A. Alfred Taubman. The gift is the largest ever to a school of architecture and planning. The endowment has supported 912 students, including the 35 scholars this year.
On December 7, 2012 Taubman Scholars gathered to thank Mr. Taubman at a lunch at the Michigan Union. Mr. Taubman’s exceptional gift makes a lasting difference in the lives of the student recipients. This merit-based aid is an expression of confidence in the students, a belief in their abilities to make a difference, and recognition that provision of support is a sound investment in our collective future.
